Poliglide Lombok Tour
LOMBOK TOUR 1: 24-29 JULY TOUR 2: 1-6 AUGUST
Cost and inclusions:
Tour cost is $100 per day.
This includes transport to and from flying sites and landing zones, plus rides back up from sleddies. Site induction and briefings. Radio assistance as required. Launch assistance as required.
Flying Sites:
Kuta Lombok, is a stunning village in southern Lombok. It boasts turquoise ocean, coconut trees, smiling helpful locals, and beautiful inlets and islands sprawled along the stunning coastline.
The trade winds flow consistently on shore at this time of year, offering hours of flying each day. Being a coastal site the air flow is predominantly laminar, although the tropical temperatures and drier environment than neighboring Bali mean there is still some thermic air to play in, providing plenty of variety to your flights.
There are currently three main sites that we fly in close proximity to our accommodation, and some options a little further around the coast if the wind shifts. Each of the sites require strong wind launch and landing; pre-flight ground handling will be offered to anyone that could use some refreshing in strong wind techniques before heading up to launch.
The consistent trade winds offer up a large lift band, which is great for having a play with your wing, either rehearsing the basics if you are a newer pilot or trying some new moves if you are looking to advance your flying skills.

Accommodation:
LOMBOK HOLIDAY HOTEL
Just a few hundred metres from the Landing Zone, and a short stroll to the cafes and eateries of Kuta Lombok, the Lombok Holiday Hotel is perfectly positioned to enjoy our stay.
The hotel has a pool, free wi-fi and breakfast included. We have reserved the 15 rooms of the hotel for our tour dates.
$40 per room per night.
Extra Activities:
Kuta Lombok has a great selection of lovely eateries offering a wide variety of foods from traditional Asian cuisine, pizza/pasta and an abundance of fresh fruits and seafood. You will also find some simple shopping, massages, and of course we have sourced a great cafe for quality coffee.
A little further afield there are stunning waterfalls within the Rinjani national park, snorkeling off the coast and adventures to hidden beaches and alcoves, either by car or scooter.
Pilot rating and requirements:
A minimum rating is not set for the Lombok Tour. We will talk to you about your rating and currency prior to the tour.
All pilots are required to have current HGFA membership.
All participants are also required to have travel insurance that covers paragliding and will be required to share the details of that insurance with Poliglide prior to travel.
Tour numbers:
We will cap each tour at 13 pilots plus Poliglide team. “Layby” style payment options are available.
