Description

Product description

Our separation carabiner is used whenever a reliable connection and if necessary a rapid separation also under load is important. It is suitable for the safe attachment of loads – in particular persons – and for outdoor use.

This product has proven itself especially during police helicopter missions , the military, and the mountain rescue service.

In paragliding, the Quick-Out may be used for the separation of the glider when a steerable rescue system is deployed.

By simultaneously pushing both release buttons, pilot and aircraft are separated effortlessly. In safety training, separation from the glider after a rescue chute has been deployed has resulted in several advantages, including but not limited to significant reduction in reserve chute/ main glider entanglements.
Besides the reserve entanglement advantages other advantages are present during emergency landings in water, trees, and high winds. The Quick-Out’s offer significant handling advantages compared to conventional carabiners without question.

Features:
Breaking load: 4.000 DaN*, 2.000 DaN* individually tested
No gate play, thus fatigue endurable with unlimited hours of usage for 150 DaN* hauled load!
Double-button locking with multiple safety steps
Replacement interval: 8 years, unlimited hours of usage
Housing drop-forged from Titanal, insert made from high-strength aluminium alloy 7075 T6

Weight: 200 g/pc.

* 1 DaN (dekanewton) = 10 newton ≈ 1 kg

Please note: Usage at paragliders with a speedsystem is permitted only in combination with a patent shackle separation system (HKar14), the charly “Quicky” system or a brummel hook separation system (HKar141).

The Quick-Out has to be installed according to the directions of the harness manufacturer and requires regular care. They require cleaning after contact with abrasive elements  (e.g. sea water) or with sand and dust because the release buttons may jam.  In case of humidity in combination with temperatures below freezing, there is some risk of icing. If the release buttons are blocked, the carabiners can not be securely locked anymore. An improper locking of the carabiner is optically recognizable and can easily be checked before flight.

Instruction manual (PDF – 124,1 kB)

One Quick-Out carabiner (which is attached to the harness) can be used in combination with several Quick-Out inserts (which are attached to the aircraft’s). Extra Quick-Out inserts (HKar121) will be ordered together with the Quick-Out housing so that the smooth functioning of housing and insert can be tested by the manufacturer.
